Get Involved with Radio 1066

Your Town. Your Music. Your Radio.

Radio 1066 is coming to Hastings, Bexhill, Battle and the surrounding 1066 Country — and we want the community to be at the heart of it.

We believe local radio should be about more than music. It should be about people, local stories, local businesses, community groups, events and the voices that make our area special.

Whether you run a community organisation, own a local business, organise events or have always fancied getting behind a microphone, we want to hear from you.

Community Groups — Get Your Voice Heard

Are you involved with a local charity, community group, club or organisation?

Radio 1066 would love to help you tell people about what you do.

We are looking for:

Community events and activities
Local announcements
Charity appeals
Fundraising campaigns
Volunteering opportunities
Community projects
Local stories
Interviews
Information about services available locally
Groups looking for new members or volunteers

Community announcements and charity events can be promoted free of charge, because supporting our local community is at the heart of Radio 1066.

Local Businesses — Support Your Local Radio Station

Radio 1066 is also here to support local businesses.

We want to work with businesses across Hastings, Bexhill, Battle and 1066 Country to help you reach local customers through:

Radio advertising
Business features
Interviews
Sponsorship opportunities
Event promotion
Website promotion
Social media promotion
Special features highlighting local businesses

Whether you're an independent shop, café, restaurant, tradesperson, professional service, visitor attraction or another local business, we'd love to talk to you about working together.

Could You Be a Radio Presenter?

Ever dreamed of being on the radio?

You don't need to have worked in radio before.

We're looking for people with enthusiasm, personality and a genuine interest in our local area.

You could be an experienced presenter looking for a new home, or someone who has never held a microphone but thinks they'd love to give radio a go.

We'd love to hear from people interested in presenting:

Music shows
Breakfast and daytime programmes
Specialist music shows
Local community programmes
Interviews
Local sports
Arts and entertainment
What's-on programmes
Local history
Community features
Weekend shows

You don't have to be a professional broadcaster. If you've got something to say, a passion for music or your local community, and the enthusiasm to learn, get in touch.

Be Part of Radio 1066

Radio 1066 is being built with the local community — and you can be part of it.

Whether you have a community announcement, want to promote a local event, would like to discuss advertising your business, or think you could become one of our presenters, we want to hear from you.
